The Issaquah History Museums are sponsoring a benefit concert to raise funds to expand the museums’ family programming.
Chuck Brodsky, a renowned singer-songwriter, will perform a selection of his lyrical and witty folk music at 7:30 p.m. July 11 in the setting of the historic Train Depot Museum’s freight room.
Brodsky, who lives in North Carolina, likens himself to a musical storyteller. He said his music is infused with a humanity, humor and emotion that resonate profoundly with his audience.
“They come to listen to every word, to get inside the songs and the stories, and they come to feel connected to a community of other folks who also crave a deeper, richer experience,” he said.
