Help raise money for disaster relief at spaghetti dinner Sept. 3

In light of the recent fires in Eastern Washington, Village Concepts’ retirement and assisted living communities throughout Washington state are coming together to show their support for the cause through their Village Concepts Cares program.

To raise money for the victims, Spiritwood at Pine Lake Assisted Living and Memory Care, 3607 228th Ave. S.E., will host a spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 3.

Donations are greatly appreciated and will be accepted in the form of checks or cash. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Make donations to mudslide emergency responders at Lowe’s

In response to the recent deadly Oso mudslide, Lowe’s has activated its American Red Cross customer donation program in all Washington stores to provide a convenient place for customers to make financial donations.

As a member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, Lowe’s pledges donations on an ongoing basis in advance of disasters to help the Red Cross deliver immediate aid to communities in need.

Participating Lowe’s stores, including Issaquah’s at 1625 11th Ave. N.W., are accepting through April 27 donations of emergency supplies to the search and rescue teams in the affected area to support the continued recovery efforts.
