Few discipline problems at Issaquah schools

Last year, 1.1 percent of the Issaquah School District’s 17,000-plus students received suspensions or expulsions. There were two expulsions for weapons-related violations — one at the middle-school level and one at the high-school level.

The school board heard the discipline report during its June 5 meeting.

Bullying, fighting, and alcohol and drug use are the most common issues administrators deal with.
