Dorothy Mae Pickering, 80, of Rexburg, Idaho, formerly of Kooskia, Idaho, and Issaquah, passed away at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She left for her heavenly home on Sept. 13, 2013, with her loving husband at her side.
She was born in Long Beach, Calif., in 1933, to Jack and Leela Cousyn. Her teenage years were filled with music studies, knitting, sewing and ice skating. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and married Drury Davis Pickering on Sept. 6, 1952, in Seattle. They had 61 wonderful years together.
