Frank DeRosa was born Aug. 25, 1929, to Joseph and Marian DeRosa in Providence, R.I. He passed away peacefully Oct. 19, 2012, with his family by his side at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.
Frank was a building contractor. He moved his family to Issaquah in 1965 to live on his beloved Ponderosa Ranch on Tiger Mountain Road, where he built and lived in two homes on the property over the years.
It was easy to spot Frank around town wearing his cowboy boots and hat wherever he went. He rode his palomino horses with the King County Sheriff’s Posse for several years and served as captain for two of those years. Frank also loved his dogs, hunting, golfing, bowling, shooting pool, water skiing and snow skiing. He enjoyed his cabin in Chelan, where he rode snowmobiles and his quad.
