Frank George “Butch” Moeller, of Issaquah, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, with family by his side. He was 68 years of age.
Butch was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Frank George and Doris Jean “Peggy” Moeller. He was raised in Kailua, Oahu, where he met his wife of 48 years, Lani.
After graduation from Kailua High School, he moved to the mainland with his family and attended San Jose State University, where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. While living in Sunnyvale, Calif., he worked for Lockheed and specialized in the design and implementation of deep-sea research and rescue vessels. In 1978, he moved to Issaquah with his family and continued to follow his passion in the field of engineering.
