Local finalist falls short in Jauntaroo job search

Issaquah native Annie Cheng fell short in her quest to become Jauntaroo.com’s chief world explorer.

Cheng was one of five finalists competing to earn a chance to travel around the world and blog about the adventure for the website.

The honor ultimately went to Tyson Mayr, a worthy choice, Cheng said.

Issaquah native Annie Cheng is one step closer to securing what is being described as the “best job around the world.”

Cheng is a top-50 finalist for Jauntaroo.com’s chief world explorer, earning a chance to be sent around the world and blog about the adventure.

She passed through the first round of voting, after her introduction video received more than 17,000 likes.

For the second round, applicants had to feature their hometowns. In her video, Cheng visited the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery and made a jump with Seattle Paragliding.

Issaquah native hopes to jaunt around the world

Issaquah native and Skyline High School graduate Robert Acinapura needs the public’s help to secure what is being described as the “best job around the world.”

Acinapura hopes to become Jauntaroo.com’s chief world explorer, earning a chance to be sent around the world and blog about the adventure.

“I love meeting new people, learning about other’s lives and seeing the world through their eyes,” Acinapura said in his audition video.

The public can view, and then “like” Acinapura’s video here. Viewers can vote once per day to help him achieve his dream and show Jauntaroo that people would be interested in following his journey.
