Whether to be in the 2A or 3A sports division has caused an uproar at Liberty High School. Some see 2A as Liberty’s big chance to win, while others perceive 3A as home.
The main argument for remaining in 3A is Liberty has an opportunity to show that despite its size, it can win against larger schools.

The Liberty boys soccer team began the 2013 season with two wins against nonconference opponents.
The Patriots defeated Everett, 4-1, March 12. Jared Bales put Liberty on the board first with a goal in the 23rd minute. Noah Anderson would go on to add another score, while Jake Ericksen would add two more.
Just three days later, the Liberty offense exploded for eight goals, soundly defeating Enumclaw, 8-1. Noah Anderson and Connor Noblat both scored twice. Josh Johnson, Sean Carlson, Antonio Lago and Ollie Janders each scored once.
In both games, Liberty goalkeepers Nate Mak and Quinn Magendanz combined to hold their opponents to just one score.
