The Asante Children’s Choir, a group from Africa, are making a stop in Issaquah while on its Jericho Tour across the U.S.
The choir will have a free concert at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the Living Hope Bible Church, 205 Mountain Park Blvd. S.W.
The Asante Children’s Choir is made up of children from East Africa, a region recovering from years of civil war and genocide that have claimed millions of lives, and leaving thousands of children and women as orphans and widows.

The Community Church of Issaquah, the longest-established church in Issaquah, is moving to Gilman Boulevard.
The first worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, and a grand opening celebration (including a meal to follow) is set for 11 a.m. Oct. 19. The community is invited.

The Community Church of Issaquah, the city’s longest-established church, has been without a home since February.
After 45 years on Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest, Community Church of Issaquah sold the building to the Living Hope Bible Church.
While exploring locations for a permanent home, the congregation is temporarily worshiping at 1:30 p.m. Sundays at Issaquah Christian Church, 10328 Issaquah-Hobart Road, while maintaining an office at 85 N.W. Alder Place, in downtown Issaquah.
