Issaquah Make Music Day will help residents do just that.
The Downtown Issaquah Association will lead downtown merchants and all in attendance in a celebration of music June 21.
Front Street North will set the scene for more than 30 artists and musical performances. They will play from 4 p.m. until late into the night at 16 venues.
Issaquah Make Music Day will not exclude anyone who wishes to perform. The rest of the community can take part in making music of their own on the steps of City Hall at 6 p.m. There, a favorite of last year will return as the All Instrument Flash Mob, made up of musical members of the public, joins to perform “Louie, Louie.”

Someone has to make music and it might as well be the whole community.
For the second year in a row, the Downtown Issaquah Association will lead the city to join the rest of the world in International Music Day on June 21. With festivities highlighting the talents of the community, the day will offer plenty of opportunities to listen to and make music.
“It’s going to be pretty significant,” DIA Executive Director Karen Donovan said. “We’re going to have over 25 bands in seven outdoor locations, four regular venues and six nontraditional spots.”
