As part of Fire Prevention Week, Eastside Fire & Rescue is hosting open houses at 10 of its 16 facilities from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 11.
The stations participating in the open houses are as follows:
Issaquah: Station 71, 190 E. Sunset Way; Station 72, 1575 N.W. Maple St.; and Station 73, 1280 N.E. Park Drive.
Sammamish: Station 81, 2030 212th Ave. S.E.; Station 82, 1851 228th Ave. N.E.; and Station 83, 3425 Issaquah-Pine Lake Road S.E.

Community members can get a look at the remodeled Liberty High School at an Oct. 10 open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.
Highlights of the remodel include the replacement of the old 500 wing of classrooms, a new and enlarged commons, and a new auxiliary gym. There is also a culinary arts instructional kitchen and a new library. More science labs were added and existing ones were upgraded.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by school tours led by Liberty Principal Josh Almy. The school is at 16655 S.E. 136th St., Renton.

Issaquah Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is celebrating its 50th year serving the community with a reunion/open house Aug. 8.
The center is at 805 Front St. S.
Join Eastside Fire & Rescue in ‘Stuffing the Boot’ for the Issaquah Senior Outreach Program. There will also be fire truck tours, refreshments, a caricature artist, the Good Vibez Jazz Band and facility tours.

Eastside Baby Corner is hosting drop-in tours from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 19 at its Issaquah Hub, 1510 N.W. Maple St.
Community members are encouraged to stop by for hot cider, cookies and a behind-the-scenes look at EBC’s warehouse and distribution center.

The Issaquah Medical Reserve Corps will celebrate the completion of its fourth year with a community open house and forum about its role in local public health and emergency plans.
The two-hour celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. June 20 at the King County Library Service Center, 960 Newport Way N.W.
The group, comprised of local medical and nonmedical volunteers, supports the community in public health issues and health-related care during emergencies, including pandemic situations.
