Kaleidoscope School of Music celebrates 10th anniversary with open house

September 9, 2015

NEW — 4:52 p.m. Sept. 9, 2015

In 1996, Charles McCrone had a vision of filling a niche within the music community in Issaquah by expanding options for one-on-one guitar lessons.

That kernel of an idea has blossomed into the successful Kaleidoscope School of Music. And to celebrate its 10th anniversary, McCrone is combining the milestone with the school’s second open house since its grand opening.

“I wondered how do you have a 10th anniversary open house?” McCrone said. “Why, have it right here at the school instead of trying to throw a party somewhere else.”

McCrone said everyone is welcome to come to the open house for a chance to meet the teachers directly. There will be a mini recital upstairs, where McCrone will leave windows cracked so visitors can listen in if they can’t actually sneak in during performances. There will also be music in the foyer by the teachers and a promo video in the band room. Read more
