Car crash closes Interstate 90 for four hours

At 2:11 p.m. Oct. 9, midday commuter traffic was snarled in both directions of Interstate 90 near Preston after a multicar accident.

Joshua M. Harris, 28, of North Bend, was traveling eastbound in a 2007 Jeep Compass and crossed the center grass median, causing a four-car chain reaction accident, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Issaquah-Sammamish Health Fair is Feb. 8

The annual Issaquah/Sammamish Health & Safety Fair returns to Pickering Barn (next to Costco) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, with free admission for all.

Overlake Hospital is offering $20 flu shots for the first 100 people.

Free health screenings will include blood pressure, glucose, skin cancer, posture and spinal analysis, orthotic evaluations and orthodontics. Wellness providers will be available to offer consultations on nutrition, weight loss, skin care, body shaping, hypnotherapy and counseling for a variety of issues. There will be free gifts and information to take home.
