The Issaquah segment of the East Lake Sammamish Trail was set to reopen to bicyclists, runners and other trail users June 12.
King County and local leaders planned to cut the ribbon at that time and reopen the newly developed trail segment, a 2.2-mile section from Southeast 43rd Way to Northwest Gilman Boulevard, according to a press release from the city. A celebration was scheduled at the trail’s terminus along Northwest Gilman Boulevard.
The city is asking that people not use the Issaquah segment — between Southeast 43rd Way to Northwest Gilman Boulevard — until it officially opens.
