Homewood Suites by Hilton opens in Issaquah

Issaquah’s newest hotel is now open for business.

The upscale Homewood Suites by Hilton is an all-suite, extended-stay hotel in the Hyla Crossing area.

Homewood Suites will open later this month

Rowley Properties Inc. has announced a scheduled late-July opening for the Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel.

The third-generation family business owns the 123-all suite hotel in the Hyla Crossing neighborhood.

The Hotel Group, a nationally recognized Top 40 hotel management and ownership company based in Seattle, was selected to manage both the new Homewood Suites-Seattle/Issaquah and the existing Hilton Garden Inn-Seattle/Issaquah, also owned by Rowley Properties Inc.

The two hotels, working in synergy, will provide Issaquah with more than 4,000 square feet of meeting space while the Homewood Suites will give Issaquah the ability to capture extended-stay business currently going to Bellevue. Extended-stay guests are different from transient guests as they have a longer stay, typically five or more nights.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel construction reaches top floor

January 20, 2015

Homewood Suites by Hilton, an upscale, all-suite, residential, extended-stay hotel will be coming soon to the Hyla Crossing neighborhood of Issaquah.

Contributed GLY staff, subcontractors and Rowley’s team signed a beam to mark the topping off of the Homewood Suites Hotel by Hilton. The beam was flown by GLY’s crane operator to the top of the building where it was then permanently installed.   The extended stay hotel is scheduled to open this summer.

Wally & The Beaves perform, costume contest at tonight’s Concert on the Green

Wally & The Beaves bring back the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll to the Concerts on the Green stage Aug. 19 at the Issaquah Community Center.

Picnicking kicks off at 6 p.m.; bring a blanket. Music is from 7-8:30 p.m. As many as 500 revelers attend, so come early to stake out your spot.

Wally & The Beaves, six of the most respected artists and musicians in the Pacific Northwest, formed in spring 2011. The band’s unique show has been gaining a loyal following since.

Each member of the band brings a bit of humor by dressing like well-known iconic characters from the era, from Buddy Holly to Susie Q.

In honor of the decade known for poodle skirts and leather jackets, Rowley Properties Inc. is sponsoring a 1950’s fashion contest during the concert.

New Rowley hotel to break ground June 26

Rowley Properties Inc. will break ground on a new hotel project June 26.

The upscale Homewood Suites by Hilton will be an all-suite, extended-stay hotel coming to Hyla Crossing in Issaquah, according to a May 5 press release.

Located off state Route 900, the 123-suite, eight-story hotel will be owned by Rowley Properties Inc. and will be managed by The Hotel Group of Edmonds.

Issaquah innovators honored at chamber luncheon

Nonprofit lending, flip-flops and composting are leading the way in innovation, according to the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.

Local businesses received recognition Feb. 13 in the fourth annual Innovation in Issaquah Awards. From 19 nominees, collected through area suggestions, the chamber chose three winners who best represented business innovation in Issaquah.

In a large luncheon at the Issaquah Holiday Inn, where more than 100 people gathered to celebrate the nominees, Cedar Grove Composting, Semble and Combat Flip Flops received the top awards.
