The Hazen High School student turnout was small.
Not more than a dozen students made the very short trip to Liberty High School March 19, where their boys soccer team took on the rival Patriots.

The Liberty High School boys soccer team’s season came to an abrupt end May 15.
The KingCo regular season champions lost to Mercer Island and Mount Si in the league tournament.
The Patriots fell to the Islanders, 4-2, in the conference championship, before losing to the Wildcats, 1-0, in a loser-out game.
Despite a tough league tournament, it was a relatively successful year for the Patriots. Liberty senior Colton Ronk was named the KingCo 2A/3A Most Valuable Player, while head coach Darren Tremblay earned Coach of the Year honors.
Patriots Tyler Jensen, Tyler Wray and Colton Ronk were named All-League First Team; Quinn Magendanz and Antonio Lago were All-League Second Team; and Michael Duvall, Ryan Graham, Leoul Hancock and Jacob Muttart received Honorable Mentions.

The pressure is on for the Liberty High School boys soccer team.
After the school’s girls team brought home the state championship, the way junior captain Ryan Graham sees it, it’s the boys’ turn to collect some hardware.
“They have their trophy, now we want to have our trophy,” he said. “That would be fantastic for the school.”
That’s the message behind this season’s team motto, “BTH,” which stands for “Bring This Home.”
