Attend state public meeting July 22, in person or online, about water quality standards

NEW — 6 a.m. July 21, 2014

Key interest groups and the general public are invited to a July 22 meeting to learn about next steps in updating the state’s water quality standards for toxics.

The proposed updates have been developed in part by looking at how much fish we eat.

The meeting will discuss the state Department of Ecology’s approach to developing the draft rule. The public meeting will be held as an interactive webinar from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Participate in state water quality updates

The state Department of Ecology is seeking public input as it updates the state’s surface water quality standards for toxics.

The department will hold two public meetings at its headquarters in Lacey, but both can be accessed remotely.

The first meeting, a Sept. 12 policy forum, is available as an interactive webinar from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Register for the webinar online at http://bit.ly/14GBpAi.
